Starting in year seven of his contract, his monthly earnings will be $2,302,025.47. The last $2,025.47 will be his Social Security check.
Pujols wanted a very long contract. Given that fact, it makes sense that he is switching to the AL, where the old fella will be able to play his golden years as a DH.
