But then again, even the Village Voice thinks those guys are a little "out there." Some of their previous best picture selections have included Yi Yi and Waltz with Bashir.
But let's give the devil his due:
They have made some bizarre selections in the past, but the truth of the matter is that when they have disagreed with the Academy, their preference is usually the one which established the greater reputation in the long run.
