"THE reputation of the most expensive and revered violins in the world has taken a battering. In an experimental result published this week, concert violinists were unable to pick two Stradivarius violins from modern instruments, based on their sound alone. And despite differing in price by more than a million dollars, the virtuoso musos opted for the modern one when asked which fiddle they would like to take home."
