There were no significant upsets on Thursday, although Syracuse almost suffered the indignity of being the first #1 seed ever to lose to a #16.
#12 VCU looked good for the second consecutive year by defeating #5 Wichita State. They have won 18 of their last 19 games, and the other one was a one-point loss. If you've forgotten, they shocked the world by making the final four last year!
#11 Colorado defeated #6 UNLV, but that was no real surprise. UNLV was a very weak #6, and finished their season 5-6.
