Peyton Manning goes to the Broncos

Peyton Manning decides on Denver
As a (recently converted) Packers fan, I am thrilled that the 49ers didn't get him. A totally healthy Payton Manning would have made the Niners unquestionably the best team in the NFC and probably on the planet. They already have the NFC's best defense by a wide margin, and they've been building their offense as well. In fact, they may be the betting favorite to win the NFC even without Manning.

So up here on the tundra we're glad to see Payton stay in the AFC.

But what about the "world's most popular athlete," Tim Tebow?

Who knows? I reckon the Broncos will try to trade Tebow, but I don't think that's going to be so easy. The Jags would sell some tickets with Tebow at the helm because he's a home town boy, but I'm not sure he'd improve their won-loss record. On the other hand, they were only 5-11 to begin with, so they don't have much at risk.
