Men in Black III (PG-13) will be in about 4000 theaters. It is expected to unseat The Avengers from the Box Office Throne by grossing some $70M over the long weekend. 68% positive reviews.
Chernoby Diaries is an R-rated horror film that will be in about 2500 theaters. It is expected to battle The Dictator for fourth place behind MIB3, The Avengers, and Battleship. The only interesting thing about it seems to be that it was actually filmed on location in the deserted residences near Chernobyl. It has not been pre-screened for critics. The marketing gurus didn't even send it out to critics likely to be friendly. That's probably a very bad sign.
Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom has received 98% positive reviews, but will be in extremely limited distribution for now. As I write this, it is scheduled to be in a whopping 4 theaters. (Unfortunately for me, because this is one I actually want to see.)
