And I haven't even started writing about the Tigers yet.

OK, enough of the Detroit jokes. The Tigers are down 3-0 and must beat Matt Cain today if they want to avoid a sweep.

Mighty Mouse and Tim Lincecum have three things in common: size, appearance, and motto.

Tim seems to have invented a new specialty - the ace middle reliever, a job which he seems to have down to a science. In 13 innings in the post-season, he's allowed only one run on three hits, with 17Ks. None of those hits have come in his last three appearances. I'm straining my memory to think of a multiple Cy Young winner who worked regularly in middle relief. Having such a guy on the team is quite a powerful weapon, and a unique one.
