The Manning Bowl - Eli on pace for a major record

The Manning Bowl - Eli on pace for a major record
George Blanda holds the record for most interceptions in a season, with 42. Eli is on pace for 56. Manning the Younger has 7 in the first two games. That's a lot. Last year he had only 15 all year. Peyton once averaged fewer than 10 per season for a four-year stretch (2003-2006).

And it's mighty hard to win a game when you toss four picks. That's roughly equivalent statistically to minus 280 yards of offense. In other words, passing for no yards with no interceptions is roughly equivalent to passing for 280 yards with four interceptions. And 280 yards equates to approximately 20 points, which is just about what the Giants lost by.

Note this: Eli Passed for 362 yards (7.4 yds per att), Peyton 307 (7.1). The real reason Denver won big: 4 INTS.

(Well, Knowshon Moreno also helped a lot.)
