NFL Football Scores - week 12

NFL Football Scores, week 12
Well, there ya go. The Broncos and Chiefs BOTH lost.

What a game between the Broncos and Pats, eh? Broncos blow a 24 point halftime lead, fall behind by seven, come back to tie, then lose late in OT.

That's an enormous win for New England, because they had previously dropped to the third seed in the AFC, and that spot does not earn a first round bye in the playoffs. Today's clutch come-from-behind win, coupled with the Colts' loss, puts the Pats back into the second seed, where they need to be, and even puts them in striking distance of first. If they can get into a tie with Denver, the Pats would have the first tie-breaker, which is head-to-head matches. Yup, huge win!

Something weird: if the season ended today, the Tennessee Titans would be in the playoffs. I know I didn't see that coming. They have been a very quiet 5-6. How can that be? There is a six-way tie for the final spot in the AFC, and Tennessee somehow ends up on top of all the various, complicated tie-breakers. Of course, there's still a long season ahead, so all of that should straighten itself out ... but still ...

Something not weird (or maybe it is weird, even though it always happens): the Chargers maintained their uncanny and counter-intuitive pattern of beating good teams and losing to bad ones. They are 4-1 against teams with otherwise winning records and 1-5 against teams with losing records.
