Dayton takes down Syracuse

Dayton takes down Syracuse
Syracuse went 0-for-10 from beyond the arc, and that was all she wrote. Syracuse runs a penetration offense and doesn't generally shoot a lot of threes (they were just 3-for-4 in their epic OT victory over Duke), but not many modern college games are won against good competition with a 0-for-10 line from downtown.

I'm not going to refer to 11th-seeded Dayton as an underdog or a Cinderella team, because they just play some damned good D. No matter what they do in the Sweet 16, they have already proved they belong there. Do you realize the quality of the two teams they just beat?

Ohio State started 15-0, and was rated as high as #3 in the nation.

Syracuse started 25-0 and was rated as high as #1 in the nation.

If you beat one team like that, maybe it's a fluke; but if you beat two in three nights, well, you can just flat-out play some hoops.
