Gretzky traded to LA

Gretzky traded to LA
Oops. I seem to be about 25 years late with this link.

Or am I?

Speaking of Gretzky, I love this table.
It is the leaderboard for the most assists in a season. Wayne Gretzky has ten of the top eleven seasons. His record is 163. The non-Gretzky record is 114, which Gretzky bested seven times.

Gretzky also holds the record for the most goals scored in a season, and just for good measure, he is in second place as well. The highest total since 1996 is a mere 65 goals, compared to Gretzky's record of 92.

Gretzky's record for points in a season is 215. That seems pretty safe, given that the record for anyone not named Gretzky or Lemieux is "only" 155. In the current millennium, the highest total of points in a season is a mere 125.

  1. It is fair to say Gretzky dominated his sport more than any other man. Be it Ruth, Jordan or even Chamberlain.
