NCAA Tournament Basketball Scores - Day 2

NCAA Tournament Basketball Scores - Day 2
You probably know the day's big news. Duke, a #3 seed this year, lost to #14 Mercer, whatever that is. Duke is no stranger to early upsets in this tourney. It was just two years ago that they were a #2 seed and lost to #15 Lehigh, thus becoming only the second #2 seed ever to lose in the first round. By the way, they are the Mercer Bears, and they hail from Macon, Georgia.

The second-biggest upset of the day was VCU's loss to the mighty 12th-seeded Stephen F Austin Lumberjacks, who hail from Nacogdoches, TX. Dude, I'm from Texas, and I don't even know exactly where that is, although I have heard of it because Groucho thought it was a funny word and said it often. I know it's some little town somewhere near the Louisiana border, and that there is a town in Louisiana with a very similar name, but they pronounce it "bidet" - because - French.

So, if you like the underdogs, you have a 14, three 12s and two 11s to pull for this weekend. At least one of them will advance to the round of 16, because two of them play each other (#14 Mercer and #11 Tennessee). Every other game has at least a #4 seed in it. (All of the 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s are still in it except Duke. )
