New Movies In Theaters April 25th - Rotten Tomatoes
There are three new films in wide national distribution this week, all rated PG-13. Based on critical appraisals, not a one of them is worth seeing:

Brick Mansions (2600 theaters; 29% positive reviews). Paul Walker is a cop in a dystopian future Detroit. A drug kingpin kidnaps Walker's daughter as part of a master plan to destroy the city. Or something.

The Other Woman (3200 theaters; 24% positive reviews). A wife teams up with her husband's mistresses to exact revenge on her wayward hubby, who is actually Jaime Lannister.

The Quiet Ones (2000 theaters; 39% positive reviews). A horror film from the revived Hammer Studios.

The Quiet Ones and Brick Mansions will be also-rans. The Other Woman has a chance to take the box office title, but it'll be a close contest between that film, Captain America, Rio 2 and Heaven is for Real.

  1. The most disappoint thing about "Brick Mansions" is that it's lead character is not named Brick Mansions.
