Box office report: 'Maze Runner' reaps $32.5 million in a successful debut

Liam Neeson's movie took in $13M, also as predicted. It did not go over well with first-night audiences (B- CinemaScore. Movies rarely go lower unless they are named "Solaris.")

This is Where I Leave You (B+ CinemaScore) finished third with $11.9M, in line with the lower end of expectations.

"Kevin Smith’s latest, Tusk, grossed a paltry $886,000 in its 602 theaters." The CinemaScore for that film was not mentioned, possibly because the English alphabet only has 26 letters, so there was no proper option on the audience survey. (Oh, I'm being snarky. The film actually received 39% positive reviews, which is not entirely awful.)
