It'll be Seahawks vs Patriots

It'll be Seahawks vs Patriots

I reckon those are the two best teams. That's the way it should be.

You have to admire the Seahawks. The Packers ate Russell Wilson for lunch, but the 'Hawks won anyway on grit, tricks, Marshawn's legs, and Wilson snapping back to life for the game's final seven minutes.

Or you can put it this way: the Packers managed to lose a game they could not possibly have lost. People talk about their red zone failures in the first half and the blunders they made at the end of the game, but most analysts failed to point out the worst blunder of all - their defensive secondary allowing a trapped and desperate Wilson to get away with completing a lollipop for that two-point conversion. If they could just have prevented that, all of the other mistakes would be forgiven, and they'd be headed to XLIX right now instead of back to the tundra.

As for the Patriots - they were just plain better than the Colts. The defense held Luck to 12-for-33 with no TDs and two picks, and the offense executed time after time. This was Brady's 9th trip to the conference championship, and it will be his sixth Super Bowl. That's the most for any offensive player. (Mike Lodish, a defensive lineman, also went to the big show six times.) Head coach Belichick's sixth trip will tie him with Don Shula for the most appearances on the sideline.

The Seahawks are 2.5 point favorites in the opening line.
