There will be no late-night monologues to distract us this week. Conan, Fallon, Kimmel and Meyers are on vacation. Even Corden and Carson Daly are taking the week off. CBS is replacing Letterman with re-runs of The Mentalist. God knows why.
For you hard-core comedy fanatics, there are no monologues to amuse you, but Jon Stewart returns tomorrow with new shows, and following after him will be Chris Hardwick and his @Midnight program, which is damned funny, especially when Chris and/or one of his guests gets on a roll. @Midnight is now my favorite way to kill a half-hour in the evening.
