Milošević was innocent?

Milošević was innocent?

Remember Slobodan Milošević, the Yugoslavian strongman who died awaiting trial for war crimes? Remember Newsweek calling him The Face of Evil on their cover?

Turns out ... not so much.

The Radovan Karadžić trial in The Hague just ended this spring, and the official report tends to exonerate Milošević!

Wikipedia summarizes:

"The Chamber concluded that there was not enough evidence to find Milošević guilty of the war crimes and crimes against humanity in which he had allegedly been complicit, and noted 'Milošević's repeated criticism and disapproval of the policies and decisions made by [Karadžić] and the Bosnian Serb leadership' and, in a footnote, the 'apparent discord between [Karadžić] and Milošević' during which Milošević 'openly criticised Bosnian Serb leaders of committing crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing and the war for their own purposes.'"
