#6 Michigan loses in the least silly of the silly bowl games
Michigan almost made the championship playoff, but they didn't look that impressive. They had only about 250 yards of offense. Moreover, they could't defend against the deep pass and couldn't stop the rushing of Florida State's Dalvin Cook. That's a nice win for the ACC, where Florida State could finish no better than third in their half of the conference.
The playoff games finally happen today. Heavily favored Alabama takes on Washington in Atlanta at 3:00 Eastern, followed four hours later by Ohio State/Clemson in Glendale. The lines: Alabama by 14, OSU by 2 1/2.
