John Hurt has died at 77
He's from the "Oh, that guy" school of actors. You know him, although you may not know his name.
He starred in 1984 and The Elephant Man. He was Caligula in I, Claudius. The monster sprang from his chest in Alien. He was in the Harry Potter films.
Most recently, he was the priest to whom Natalie Portman poured out her secrets as Jackie Kennedy. (He looked gravely ill in that film, which he was, but he still delivered an important role professionally.)
