Non-Inspector Gadget says: Maybe Obama was spying on Donald Trump through his microwave!
I wonder how often The Donald pops a Lean Cuisine into the microwave.
I guess he can save the country some money by getting rid of all those expensive White House chefs. (Plus they're probably spying on him.)
From the (failing) NY Times: Beavis "clarified on Monday that she was not accusing the former president of snooping via a kitchen appliance, arguing that her comments had been taken out of context. 'I’m not Inspector Gadget,' she said Monday on CNN. 'I don’t believe people are using the microwave to spy on the Trump campaign.'"
SIDEBAR: when you type in the word "failing" followed by a space in the Google search box, the #1 auto-complete is "new york times."
The Times tries to counter Trump's claims by citing their record number of subscribers. Unfortunately, digital subscribers do not support a large newspaper staff, because subscription costs and ad revenues are small. The Times implies in its rebuttal of Trump that it is like Uncle Scrooge swimming in his money. Not so. The Times expects another drop in ad revenues in their next quarter, and substantial layoffs are anticipated.

NYT is like the #9 autocomplete for me, FWIW. I had never heard that ridiculousness before just now (also FWIW
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that auto-complete varied by individual! I just tried it again, same result.
DeleteThe large drop in quarterly revenue for the New York Times according to that article was based on one time charges. I'd be interesting in seeing how their quarterly profits compare excluding one time charges.
