Overcoming assault charge, Republican Gianforte wins Montana congressional seat

Overcoming assault charge, Republican Gianforte wins Montana congressional seat

  1. Most people had voted before Gianforte committed this assault, but he has a history of violence.

The Republican line from their radio and tv bloviators was that 'poor Gianforte' was goaded into his violent act.

I think we can say with certainty that Republicans view of themselves as 'the party of personal responsibility' is a total myth.

    1. Just to correct myself: he has a history of making violent threats - especially against reporters - but he's never been reported to commit assault and battery before.

  3. This just shows you how despicable many of us view the democratic politicians. I am not in Montana, but I would have voted for this moron over any insane liberal.

And for what it's worth, the democratic opponent had issues too, including years of unpaid property and income taxes.

    1. I agree it certainly says a lot of things about Republican voters and their complete lack of ethics, morals and integrity.

  4. A Republican who bodyslams a journalist is just pandering to the base.

    1. It would be nice if Greg Gianforte was beaten to a bloody pulp. Afterwards, the perpetrator could get off by just saying either "American Justice" or "sorry."
