The CIA now has to spend time correcting its own boss
It's good to know their resources are being wisely managed.
Pompeo claimed the US intelligence community determined that Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election did not affect its outcome. The agency soon had to issue a statement saying they had not changed their findings, which were simply that Russians meddled. Period. There was no assessment, pro or con, of whether that meddling affected the outcome.
The public report states that the intelligence agencies did "not make an assessment of the impact that Russian activities had on the outcome of the 2016 election. The US Intelligence Community is charged with monitoring and assessing the intentions, capabilities, and actions of foreign actors; it does not analyze US political processes or US public opinion."
