Steven Spielberg is actually working on both Indiana Jones 5 and a remake of West Side Story
We all know that Spielberg seems to be a genius at gauging public taste, so I'm surprised that he feels a remake of West Side Story is necessary, unless he plans to do something truly innovative with it.
(But the music is beautiful, so I'll probably end up getting suckered into a ticket.)
This may be just the time for my friend Todd's idea for a new song. The Sharks hate the Jets, right? Want to be completely unlike them. So picture a big dance number and...
ReplyDeleteWhen you're a Shark it's a casual thing
There's no heavy commitment
We know you've got stuff to do
We're cool with that
We're that laidback gang
That's not trying to run your life for you
Fall by when you feel like it
We'll be glad to see you
(OK, needs work, but Hollywood has writers, right?)
Works for me.
DeleteAlthough I'm thinking that the tables should be turned. It should take place in Puerto Rico instead of New York, and the Jets and Sharks should be an American company and a Puerto Rican company competing for the government contract to rebuild after the hurricane.
The Donald, of course, will be Officer Trumpki.
