R.I.P. Lewis Gilbert at 97, director of Alfie and several James Bond movies
He directed 37 films, here's the list, ordered by IMDB rating. His highest-rated international hit was Educating Rita which starred Michael Caine (as did Alfie). Rated ever so slightly higher is a B&W WW2 movie called Reach for the Sky, which I am not familiar with.
