Trump lawyers want to offer Mueller an interview under strict conditions
"Trump's team expects the questions to mainly focus on the firings of former FBI Director James Comey and former national security advisor Michael Flynn."
I doubt it. Those two things are important, but I'm sure Mueller's team also wants to know about Trump's various machinations in attempting to fire Mueller and/or Sessions, as well as Trump's possible foreknowledge of the infamous Trump Tower meeting and his later participation in the effort to lie about the purpose of that meeting.
In my opinion, Donald Trump should fire those lawyers. No lawyer should advise him to take the stand under any set of rules. That is a no-win proposition, and not just because Trump can't complete two sentences without lying, but for a very specific reason. According to news reports, Trump told White House Counsel Don McGahn to get Mueller fired, and then later told McGahn to publicly deny that ever happened. In both cases, the source of that news must have been McGahn himself. So if you were Trump's attorney, would you want him talking about that under oath? That's a complete trap. Either Trump tells the truth and admits to two counts of obstruction of justice, or he lies under oath and commits perjury. His best option is to stonewall, and to keep setting off smokescreens to avoid testifying.
