Brooks Koepka won his second consecutive U.S. Open
No golfer has won back-to-back opens since the late 80s, when Curtis Strange pulled it off.
Nobody in the field, including Koepka, matched or bested par for the tournament.
Tommy Fleetwood tied the U.S. Open single-round record with a 63 Sunday. He missed an eight footer on 18 for the birdie which would have broken the record. That one putt was an especially costly one since it not only would have given him the all-time record for a single round, but would also have put him into a tie for first, forcing a playoff with Koepka.
And, so it goes.....
