Documents from Saddam Hussein's oil ministry reveal he used oil to bribe top French officials into opposing the imminent U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. Oil minister Louis Renaud said he was "shocked, shocked" to hear of corruption influencing French foreign policy, just before he retired on his share of the Iraqi bribes.
