The incredibly pretentious and unbearably loud trailer for Phantom of the Opera. Joel Schumacher directing an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical? That might set a standard for "shallow, broad, and obvious" that may never again be duplicated unless scientists find a way to bring Otto Preminger back from the dead.
