Noted MENSA candidate Natasha Lyonne "was arrested Friday night at her Manhattan home after she allegedly made menacing remarks to a neighbor's pet." Only in Manhattan would there be a law against making menacing remarks to a dog. Explanation, just in case you're wondering: I've committed the fallacy of post hoc ergo propter hoc. Obviously she wasn't arrested FOR talkin' trash to a puppy. She was arrested for a real crime AFTER talkin' trash to a puppy. I'm guessing her mattress tags weren't in order. My quote from the article is accurate, but misleading. It's just that I love the idea of the NYPD's elite SWAT unit gathering outside with bullhorns and choppers and tear gas to force the surrender of an obscure actress who made menacing remarks to a dog.
