John Cusack discusses his next romantic comedy. I know he's always had the sensitive guy thing going for him, but when did he become such a wuss? In the article he says, "And sometimes you think if I do this movie maybe it will help me get the movies I want to get made. You know it will help my profile out. It's just the dance you do with the business." Bah, fokkin humbug. I'm going to go watch The Grifters and Better Off Dead to cleanse my palate.

  1. Well the sad part is, when was Gross Pointe Blank and High Fidelity released? Almost 5 years ago or more for both (without looking anyway)

What has he done since then......yeah that's what I thought.

And the other sad thing is on the commentary for "One Crazy Summer" Steve Holland talks about how Cusack just calls him "That Director" and doesn't like being associated with the two films that made him a star to begin with (One Crazy Summer and Better Off Dead)

At least the one cool thing is there is suppose to be a deleted scene where Coop (I think that was Cusack's char. name in OCS) goes to college and hooks up with BOD's Diane Franklin but was cut.

Shame he wants to do more serious work like Runaway Jury, that stupid thriller, Max and America's Sweethearts, instead of what he is liked for and what he cut his teeth on being an everyman and a likeable character in the film.

Plus what's it tell you that he broke up with Allison Eastwood? (Watch Midnight in the garden of Good and Evil and see what he had at that time)

Hell if it were me, let's just say she'd be the Mrs. by now.

  2. Cusack and Savage Steve never have anything good to say about one another, even though they made a great team.

    Sad.
