The Lonesome Trio - featuring the Daily Show's Ed Helms

Ed, Ian, and Jake, old Oberlin College buddies, began playing together in 1994 as part of the traditional bluegrass band, Weedkiller. Years later, the three of them reassembled in New York as the Lonesome Trio, compiling a repertoire of their own unclassifiable songs and performing them at New York venues such as the Rockwood Music Hall, Parkside Lounge, Bowery Ballroom, Irving Plaza, and Galapagos.
