GALLUP: Bush Run of Sub-40% Approval Ratings One of the Longest
"Bush's current run of six consecutive months below 40% has been exceeded by only three presidents (a total of four times)."

Carter had two streaks of seven months each. Nixon had 13 months in a row, Truman 26 in a row. President Bush has 21 more months in office, so he can break Truman's record if he makes the extra effort. Truman will undoubtedly remain the true champ, though, because during those 26 months his approval rating averaged below 30.
