Another disastrous weekend. The chart below says it all. The blue line is this year, and it's headed in the wrong direction.
The Nic Cage film was a bomb, and two of the other three new releases also fell below their range of expectations. The Invisible was the only new release to perform approximately as expected. The industry is hoping, of course, that Spider-Man 3 will rescue it next week.
