When Former Presidents Assail the Chief - New York Times

When Former Presidents Assail the Chief
"Still, Mr. Carter did not call President Bush a 'puzzlewit' and a 'fathead' as Roosevelt did Taft."

And let us never forget when Millard Fillmore called James Buchanan a "pusillanimous urine-stained poltroon," or when LBJ called Nixon a "limp-dicked douchebag."

Seriously, a "puzzlewit?" Isn't that one of those guys Falstaff hung out with? I'm pretty sure if Carter had called the president a puzzlewit, it would have been OK. "A pox 'pon thee, foul Puzzlewit, with thy most ungainly Middle East diplomacy."

Oh, wait, it's an obscure Dickens novel, right? Martin Puzzlewit. "'Tis most unwise, President Puzzlewit, to anger ol' Tom Pinch or the Landlord of the Bull, but unwiser still to rile the Taliban."
