I've never gone to any of these places and I hope I never will.In my wanderings around the globe, in almost 100 countries, the dirtiest places I ever saw were Bratislava and Mexico City, with honorable mention to Gary, Indiana. Various places in Africa, Asia and the Middle East were more depressing, but not industrialized enough to be truly dirty.

Hi, came across your entry mentioning Bratislava as am extremely dirty place and was really surprised by it. We communicate literally with thousands of visitors every year and one of the more frequent feedbacks is how clean the centre of Bratislava is.
ReplyDeleteWhile the rest of the city differs from the picturesque, pastel baroque Old Town, it is not more industrial or dirty than many major Western European cities.
I urge you to visit us again in Bratislava and see for yourself!
