ESPN - A-Rod limps into stadium, blasts 2 HRs as Yanks rout M's - MLB

A-Rod started the night in 20th place on the all-time dinger list. He's now 17th!

He hit both of his homers in the seventh inning. And limped through the game! He now has 48 homers with 22 games left in the season.

He has a good chance to join one of the most exclusive "clubs" of all time, the 150-150 club. No player has managed 150 runs and 150 rbi in the same year in the past 75 years. The last guy to do it was Lou Gehrig in 1931, when he amassed the ungodly totals of 163 runs and 184 RBI!

Other members: Babe Ruth, Al Simmons and Chuck Klein (Klein is the only NL member. Ruth and Gehrig are the only ones to do it more than once.)

A-Rod also has a chance to accumulate 50 hr, 150 runs, 150 rbi in the same year. Babe Ruth is the only player in baseball history to have done that, and he did it twice.
