Comedy isn't central to Jon Stewart's return - USATODAY.com

Stewart and Colbert return
I normally watch the clips on Comedy Central's website, but I watched them live last night. That was an unpleasant experience. Jon Stewart has apparently adopted a strike-supportive strategy of making his show as bad and unfunny as possible to demonstrate how much the show misses the striking writers. He succeeded magnificently.

Colbert snuck by on razor-thin material and his own manic energy, but I reckon he's just about out of "I don't need writers" jokes.
