I love Italy in general, and I wish I could spend about three months in Rome with no business to conduct. It is THE place to be for an art and history buff like me. Classical culture: there. Renaissance culture: there. Modern conveniences: there. Great food: also there. Nice people: also there. (Well, nice by big city standards, anyway. Actually, I found the people even nicer elsewhere in Italy. Great country to visit.)
