That's because there are four of them left and they are playing against each other. In the West, 12th-seeded Western Kentucky beat Drake in OT, while 13th-seeded San Diego beat Connecticut by a point, leading WK and SD into a head-to-head match-up which one of them must win, thus advancing to the sweet sixteen to play UCLA (or, less likely, Texas A&M).
The exact same thing happened in the Midwest. 12th-seeded Villanova beat Clemson and 13th-seeded Siena not only beat Vanderbilt, but destroyed them, having never trailed throughout the game. Villanova and Siena will play one another, so one of them will advance to take on Kansas (or, less likely, UNLV).
Those are the four lowest-seeded of the 32 teams left in the action and, through the luck of the pairings, at least two of them will advance to the sweet sixteen! As Mel Allen would say if he were here, "How about that?"
