So, with the Olympics a few short weeks away, China is giving its cuisine a linguistic makeover."Far be it from me to ridicule local cultures, but I have to admit that "imperial slice of heaven" and "dragon's dream" sound more appetizing than "pond scum soup" and "pig feces with MSG," although the former is not actually pond scum, but unprocessed waste from the sewers, and the latter is not actually pig feces but rat droppings. Oh, those Chinese and their cute euphemisms!
