Weekend Box Office Results for June 20–22, 2008

Get Smart performed satisfactorily, with a gross just under $40m for the weekend. The Love Guru was a megabomb as it failed to reach even $15 million.

KJ had an incredible week's worth of projections. He correctly called the weekend for Get Smart (prediction 38.8, actual 39.2), and he predicted The Love Guru exactly right, calling it $14 million for fourth place. He also correctly predicted that the Panda movie would move back above the Hulk after losing to it last week.

With mediocre new films this week, and 60+% drops for last week's entries, the top twelve dropped to $136 million this weekend, after four consecutive weekends over $160 million, but that total was still the highest ever for this particular week of the year, some 9% over last year.
