The new films did a bit better than expected, while the carry-overs dropped faster. (Watchmen suffered another precipitous tumble.)Knowing grossed an impressive $24+ million despite weak reviews, and easily outpaced the other two new films, which had good to excellent reviews.
The cumulative gross trailed last year, but the deficit was in single figures.
