'Battleship' may have a captain

Peter Berg to helm a film version of the game "Battleship"

"Universal has several board game titles in development as part of its six-year deal with Hasbro. "Ouija Board" is being produced by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes shingle, "Candy Land" has Kevin Lima attached to direct with Etan Cohen writing the script, and Ridley Scott is developing a project based on "Monopoly."

I can't see how any of those can top Tarkovsky's heart-rending "спуски и лестницы" (Chutes and Ladders), the film that brought the Cannes judges to tears.

Seriously, I thought this must be from The Onion or something, but this is a legit story from The Hollywood Reporter.
