There was only one meaningful deviation from the experts' expectations, and that was the utter calamity which was Gamer (predicted - first; actual - weak fourth, with only 11 million in four days).Far down this week's list, Transformers 2 made history by becoming only the ninth film ever to reach $400 million in domestic gross. It has been the year's top picture by a wide margin, since no other film has reached $300 million. (Harry Potter will make $300m eventually. It is at $297.6 and counting, but moving slowly now.)
