Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Yankees - Recap - October 29, 2009 - ESPN

The Empire Strikes Back

Pedro pitched well enough to win with typical Phillie run support. He and the relievers combined for 12 Ks. The Yankees only got five at-bats with runners in scoring position, and only got one hit in those attempts, but their two solo homers were all A.J. needed. He and Rivera struck out 11 and held the Big Kahuna, Ryan Howard, completely in check: four at-bats, four K's.
