"I've worked out the success of Twilight and it's something I've known since I was a teenager. Girls travel in packs. A guy might see a picture with his wingman. He might cajole his girlfriend into seeing a guy flick but basically, a guy is content to see a guy movie by himself. A girl is going to round up as many like-minded girls that can possibly be shoe horned into Mom's Grand Caravan and they are quite content to hang out in line for days.

This also explains the huge success of Titanic. It could be very, very bad news for Avatar since girl-packs do not go to movies about giant jungle smurfs."
