Lady Gaga aims lawsuit at ex-producer Rob Fusari for conning her into signing illegal contract

Whoa. When he filed his lawsuit, which came before hers, I figured it was utter bullshit, but the response from Gaga's lawyers floored me. Instead of saying his allegations are baseless, they basically admit that they are all true by contending that he tried "to take advantage of an inexperienced performing artist." That's another way of saying she was a totally inexperienced zero until he created her - which is exactly the same thing he is saying! Knowing that she is contractually obligated to pay the guy some megabucks in principal, they have no other choice but to attack the validity of the contract itself. They allege that the contract she signed, although not under duress, was illegal.

In other words, "We can't deny anything he has claimed, but of course we don't want to pay him, so we have to look for some kind of technicality."
