In 2005, Dontrelle Willis went 22-10 with a 2.63 ERA. The Tigers gave him a big contract thinking he was still that guy. They were wrong. In three years with the Tigers he couldn't even muster one win per year - at a cost of some ten million per campaign. They have designated him for assignment.I think somebody will take a chance on him. He's only 28, and he showed signs of his former self on April 29th, when he threw six scoreless innings against the Twins.
