Two saddest baseball facts of the year so far.

1. Sad: Wandy Rodriquez has an excellent chance to break Jose Lima's hold on the worst season for a regular starter in Astros' history, a place which once seemed eternally secure. The Wanderer is 3-10 with a 6.09 ERA. At that pace he would finish 7-23. In Lima's monster season, he was 7-16 with a 6.65.
   
2. Sadder: The Astros don't have a better option.
   

The parallel between the two pitchers extends to their year-on-year decline. Wandy had a 3.02 ERA last year, so his increase is 3.07. Lima had a 3.58 in his previous season before the collapse, an increase of ... an identical 3.07!!
