The Karate Kid kicked ass, as expected from Friday's results. The Weekend Warrior thought that The A-Team would take the weekend $36m-34m, but the final result didn't resemble that at all. Karate took in a very impressive $56 million while the A-Team struggled to make the B-List at $26m.Down the list, Shrek passed $200m by finishing a very strong third in its fourth week of circulation. Two other big-budget films just missed the next milestone. Robin Hood is at $99M and Iron Man at $299M.
The remaining high-budget projects are faltering. It appears that neither Prince of Persia nor Sex and the City will reach $100M. Those two films each experienced a major drop (50%+) from last week.
